Donate School Supplies in July!

It may be too early to start thinking about school, but it’s never too early to ensure that children have the tools they need to succeed. For our July community outreach project, we are collecting school supplies that we will distribute to parents and guardians during our “Cannaversary” event in August.

Prime has purchased 120 backpacks, and our goal is to fill at least 100 of these with donated school supplies. Please help us exceed our goal and fill all 120 backpacks!

Every patient who donates 5 new school supplies in July will be entered into a raffle. Three lucky winners will chosen and rewarded with store credit: $250 for first place, $150 for second, and $100 for third.

The Merrimack and Chichester dispensaries will hold separate drawings at the beginning of August to select winners. Entries are unlimited. Winners will be notified by phone.

Thanks – we greatly appreciate your support for our community outreach program!

Staff Spotlight: Alicia Bennett

Many Prime patients already know that Alicia Bennett is one of the most knowledgeable and helpful staff members you could ever hope to meet at any dispensary. She has been consulting with patients and helping them get the most out of their experience with therapeutic cannabis since she joined our team in 2019. In recognition of her efforts, Prime recently promoted Alicia to a new position: Education Supervisor!

Alicia’s own journey with therapeutic cannabis began when she was a college student battling sarcoma, a rare and very aggressive form of cancer. The New Boston native tried cannabis while undergoing chemotherapy and recovering from surgery, and she found it very helpful in treating her pain, nausea, and anxiety. As an amputee, she has continued to find cannabis beneficial in minimizing her phantom sensations. In 2017, her remarkable story was featured in Teen Vogue magazine.

As a result of her experiences, Alicia developed a passion for learning about cannabis and sharing her knowledge. In addition to her work with patients at Prime, she recently traveled to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to speak at CancerCon 2022.

When Alicia isn’t at the dispensary speaking with patients or updating our educational handouts, you might find her gardening, playing in a swamp, or reading yet another article about therapeutic applications of cannabis.

If you have questions about therapeutic cannabis, Alicia would be a great person to ask! You can reach her by calling the Chichester dispensary at 603-212-1500. We also encourage you to check out the documents on our “patient education” page to learn more about the science behind therapeutic cannabis.

Thanks for sharing your story, Alicia!

Delicious New Drink Mixes!

We are pleased to introduce two delicious new drink mixes: fruit punch and orange! Both are now available for sale in Merrimack and Chichester.

These new flavors are also available in mixed 4-packs, along with our lemonade and raspberry iced tea. For the low price of $45 (equivalent to buy three, get one free), you can try all four!

Trying our new drink mixes is also a great way to support Last Prisoner Project. We are donating $1 for each drink mix sold in June, and we will donate $4 for each multi-pack.

If you’d like to place an order, visit our menu. We look forward to the next opportunity to serve you!

Supporting Last Prisoner Project

In June, we are raising money for Last Prisoner Project (LPP). This national non‐profit organization is dedicated to repairing the harms caused by cannabis prohibition, and we are proud to support their efforts with a $1 donation for every THC drink mix product sold. Currently, our drink mix selection includes iced tea, raspberry iced tea, lemonade, and hot cocoa. If you’d like to place an order, visit our menu!

Why Last Prisoner Project?

Cannabis is now legal for adults in 19 U.S. states, and in many of those states, business is booming. Regulated markets in the U.S. generated more than $37 billion in sales last year, producing billions in state revenues. Despite this remarkable progress, countless Americans are still suffering from the negative impacts of cannabis prohibition. Tens of thousands of Americans remain incarcerated for
cannabis offenses, and many more are impacted by the stigma associated with having a criminal record, which creates barriers to employment, housing, and financial assistance.

LPP focuses on three very important aspects of the issue: prisoner release, record clearing, and reentry programming. LPP works to release cannabis prisoners with its state and federal clemency programs, compassionate release efforts, and other legal interventions. They advocate for automatic expungement of criminal records and other “clean slate” initiatives. They also provide services to prisoners who have been released to support their successful reentry into society.

Prime ATC strongly supports this organization’s efforts, and we look forward to making a sizable donation at the end of June!

Big Success in May!

Finally, we have some great news to share. Yesterday, thanks to your generous donations, we contributed an impressive $4,000 to NAMI New Hampshire! This donation is being doubled by The Hartford. Thanks again to all who donated to support this important cause!

Remembering N.H. Servicemembers

As we enjoy this Memorial Day Weekend, we should all take a moment to remember the sacrifices of veterans who paid the ultimate price while serving our country.

A local organization called Swim With A Mission has designed and created plaques to honor 93 servicemembers from New Hampshire who died during recent military conflicts. Prime Assistant General Manager Josh Beecher ordered six of these plaques, one for each servicemember from the towns where Prime operates facilities.

Two plaques are dedicated to servicemembers from Merrimack, and those are on display in our Merrimack dispensary. The other plaques will be displayed at our production facility in Peterborough and our dispensary in Chichester.

Here is a photo of Josh receiving the plaques in Merrimack:

Because there were no plaques dedicated to servicemembers from Chichester, Josh selected a servicemember from Henniker to honor.

Here are the names of the six servicemembers: Army Sergeant Russell M. Durgin (Henniker), Air National Guard Technical Sergeant David Guindon (Merrimack), Air Force Sergeant Ronald J. Ouellette (Merrimack), Marine Lance Corporal Brandon Garabrant (Peterborough), Army Sergeant John A. Lyons (Peterborough), Army Private First Class Clinton E. Springer II (Peterborough).

Thank you, Josh, for reminding us all of the reason for this holiday weekend!

Memorial Day Sale!

Our Memorial Day Sale will begin Thursday, May 26 and end Saturday, May 28. We are pleased to be offering two strains of flower and all rosin for 40% off. We are also introducing a new chocolate chip cookie recipe! You can try one of our chewy, delicious chocolate chip cookies for only $2 if you make a $50 purchase during the sale.

On Thursday only, make a purchase and you will have a chance to win a 5g Star Mints pre-roll! We will be randomly selecting winners every hour. Winners will be notified by phone.

We are also pleased to report that our fundraising efforts on behalf of NAMI New Hampshire are going well. We greatly appreciate your generosity, and we are hoping to raise even more in the final days of May. As an added bonus, if you donate during the Memorial Day Sale, you will be entered into a drawing and given a chance to win one of five 5g Star Mints pre-rolls. This drawing will take place on Tuesday, May 31.

All our donations to NAMI New Hampshire are being doubled by The Hartford, so we want to ensure that we make the most of this opportunity to support individuals and families who are affected by mental illness.

Patients, if you would like to place an order for the Memorial Day Sale, visit our menu! Or just stop by and see us in Chichester or Merrimack — we look forward to seeing you soon!

New: Tropical Fruit Chews!

A Caribbean vacation might sound appealing, but Prime’s new tropical fruit chews are a much more convenient alternative. If you want to try our fruit chews, you don’t need a plane ticket, a passport, or luggage – you only need to be a patient who is registered with New Hampshire’s Therapeutic Cannabis Program!

Like all Prime’s fruit chews, these are made with real fruit and no artificial flavors. They contain mango, pineapple, and dragon fruit, a delicious combination that we think will be a big hit with patients this summer.

Our tropical fruit chews are now available in both Chichester and Merrimack. If you’d like to be one of the first patients to try them, visit our menu to place an order!

NAMI Donations Doubled!

Great news! NAMI New Hampshire has informed us that our end-of-month donation will be doubled by another company. This means every contribution you make will have twice as much impact as we initially expected!

The other company that will be matching our donation is The Hartford. We greatly appreciate their generosity and support for this worthy cause!

In case you missed the initial announcement, we are collecting cash donations for NAMI New Hampshire throughout the month of May. For each cash donation of $5 or more, Prime will award 1,000 loyalty points, up to a maximum of four times during the month of May.

Thanks to all who have contributed so far!
